PR Award

A night of cheers, tears and beers saw Wave PR, the perfectly formed public relations consultancy, celebrating at the annual PRide Awards as it picked up the 'Outstanding Small Consultancy' Gold award.

Presented for its overall business and for work carried out for a long list of well known names, Wave beat off stiff competition from across the country. Its 'Waxing Lyrical' campaign for Shearer Candles, the candle manufacturer that boasts Madonna, Janet Jackson and Billy Connolly as customers was short-listed for the highly competitive Consumer Award.

Wave PR's Jonathan Kennedy said, "We're really chuffed. Scotland has a very strong PR industry demonstrated by the number of consultancies working to clients across the UK so to be recognised in this way is really pleasing."

He added, "We have the privilege of working with extremely good clients and we'd like to thank them for their continued support too."

The glittering ceremony, hosted by The Chartered Institute of Public Relations, was held at Edinburgh's Sheraton Hotel on the 20th of November 2008.
